Québec, May 17th 2021 – The ESTEN Foundation announced on May 15th the recipients of the first edition of its Onsite Wastewater Applied Research and Innovative Projects Bursaries.

2020 Edition – Bursaries Announcement

Québec, May 17th 2021 – The ESTEN Foundation announced on May 15th the recipients of the first edition of its Onsite Wastewater Applied Research and Innovative Projects Bursaries.

All applications received were for the Applied Research category.  We wish to thank all participants.

The ESTEN Foundation is pleased to award the 1st place 1500$ bursary to Dominique Claveau-Mallet, researcher at École Polytechnique (Montréal, Qc) for the following submitted research:  Phosphorus Removal and Carbon Dioxide Capture in a Pilot Conventional Septic System Upgraded with a sidestream Steel Slag Filter.

The 500$ bursary for the second place is awarded to Céline Vaneeckhaute, researcher at University Laval in Québec City for the following submitted research:  Development of resilient municipal wastewater treatment infrastructure targeting water reuse in Nunavik.

The ESTEN Foundation is also pleased to announce that it will pursue the bursaries initiative for 2021 for both Applied Research and Innovative Projects categories.
